I had just been told at 7½ months that it was likely that I would need a caesarean, and that my doctor would confirm this nearer my due date. As you can imagine, not desperately reassuring news, and left me in a quandary about whether I would need any help. All the experts kept telling me that I would not be able to lift anything heavy following the operation – how on earth do you explain that to a 17 month toddler who is keen to explore all and everything. This is when I found out about The Babyworks after browsing on the internet. I promptly called and spoke to the founder, Ali and explained my situation.
I told her I thought that I would only need a maternity night nurse. Ali was great and reassured me straight away. She took all my details and asked me to keep in contact vis-à-vis the caesarean decision. In the meantime she put me in contact with a couple of her nurses. I chose a brilliant girl, she is bright, bubbly and fitted in straight away. More importantly both children liked her. On account of my c-section being brought forward, I came home earlier with my daughter. Not much sleep the first night, so it was a huge relief when our night nanny arrived. We had decided to use her during the week and then cope by ourselves at the weekends. Ali kept in contact throughout, and at the end of our initial booking I decided to book two additional nights over a fortnight to avoid going cold turkey. I definitely made the right decision by using The Babyworks as our daughter is more or less settled into a routine. I would therefore highly recommend The Babyworks. Hannah, Surrey.

I found Ali and Laura at Babyworks really efficient and professional. They listened to me thoroughly and understood what my needs were and what type of Night Nurse I needed straight away. As a busy mother of four kids, I needed to know they would respond quickly, and they did. Carmen has been an absolute superstar.
